Board of Supervisors | Advisory Committee | HAMC Management

Pursuant to A.R.S. Section 36-1404, Maricopa County granted powers and responsibilities to the Housing Authority of Maricopa County (HAMC) to provide affordable housing through a range of delegated powers. In addition, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors appoints an Advisory Board to provide community input and assist in the administration of the Housing Authority.

HAMC is an active partner with county, local, state and federal agencies and programs, as well as the broader public and private sectors, to carry out its mission and strategies in meeting a wide range of affordable housing needs throughout Maricopa County.

Note: While reviewing files, an old 25-page typed document containing the History of the Housing Authority of Maricopa County was found. Because of its historical content, it was decided to scan and post that document to this website. It is a narrative summary of the minutes of the Board of Commissioners from 1942 until 1991, written by an unknown staff member.
